Water Purifier Setup

The Water Purifier cleans one connected water container overnight. Insert power, load an owned container, install suitable modules, and check the next morning's result. Its Quality, Performance, and Efficiency bonuses solve different problems, so read the machine's current purity limit before deciding which upgrade to buy.

This machine is separate from the handheld HydraTech Micro Water Purifier. The handheld device provides durability-based treatment toward Basewater, while the larger machine performs repeated overnight cleaning and can reach Pure Water with sufficient Quality. Buying one does not mean you have acquired the other.

Unlock the equipment supply

Water Trading through Wild's Network opens the water-business equipment flow. Its starter kit provides useful testing and treatment supplies, but the dedicated Water Purifier is not part of that kit. Plan a separate acquisition for the machine.

Dr. Jackson can supply the purifier through his water equipment stock, and the Retired Water Merchant also brings it. The listed base value is 250 credits, with a 3 × 4 inventory footprint. The price you are offered and the space you have available are both relevant to the purchase.

Do not confuse the machine with a Water Pitcher, a filter, or a Moisture Farm. The pitcher provides a filtering container, the purifier treats water already supplied to it, and the farm produces water from moisture. Those roles can complement each other without being interchangeable.

Before buying, decide what problem you need to solve. If you already have dirty water and need dependable overnight treatment, the purifier addresses that task. If your problem is a lack of incoming water, owning a treatment machine alone does not create the missing supply.

Set up a complete overnight cycle

The interface includes a power slot, module grid, container slot, and note slot. Read the note for the controls, then check the actual machine statistics for the current setup.

  1. Put a suitable power source into the power slot.
  2. Select the owned water container you want processed.
  3. Place it into the machine's container slot.
  4. Install the modules you intend to use.
  5. Check that the container is connected and power is available.
  6. End the day to run the overnight cycle.
  7. Read the progress and test the resulting water the next morning.

The standard machine uses four energy units for a working night. Efficiency upgrades can reduce that operating cost, so distinguish the standard figure from your upgraded machine's displayed requirement.

A container sitting beside the purifier is not necessarily the connected container. Inspect the slot before closing, especially when several pitchers or bottles are nearby. The machine processes the water in its connected container rather than every liquid object on the counter.

Read three values before changing anything

The current water purity, Max Purity, and Contaminant Removed (Last Night) together describe the processing state. Looking at only one can produce the wrong diagnosis.

The current purity tells you what the batch has achieved. Max Purity tells you the ceiling allowed by the machine's present configuration. Last night's removal tells you whether the previous cycle actually changed the contamination.

If the current batch is below the maximum and contamination was removed, processing is progressing. If it has reached the maximum, additional nights will not raise it past that ceiling without a relevant upgrade. If nothing changed despite being below the target, check power and the loaded container before assuming more Quality is the answer.

Keep the desired grade separate from the maximum. A machine can function correctly while having a ceiling below your goal. Conversely, a machine configured for a high ceiling can still need more nights to reach it.

Choose the module effect that matches the bottleneck

Module effectWhat it changesWhen to inspect it
EfficiencyEnergy useA working setup is expensive to operate
PerformanceContamination removed per nightThe batch is progressing too slowly
QualityThe achievable purity limitProgress stops below the intended grade

Performance is useful when time is the problem. It increases treatment capacity but does not replace Quality when the water has already reached the current ceiling.

Quality is useful when the target is above that ceiling. It does not mean every newly loaded batch reaches the new maximum after one night. The machine still has to remove the contamination between its starting state and the permitted endpoint.

Efficiency changes operating expense. It is relevant to a repeating business, but it is not the first explanation for poor purity. A machine can be efficient and still slow, or efficient and unable to reach Pure Water, depending on its other bonuses.

Use the displayed statistics after installing modules. The resulting machine configuration is the thing you operate; a module's category name alone does not establish that you have enough of its effect for the desired outcome.

Quality Module

Quality raises the achievable purity limit.

Expect the final improvement to slow down

The purifier removes more contamination from dirty water than from water that is already clean. Early treatment can therefore produce a large visible change, followed by much slower improvement as the batch approaches a high grade.

That slowdown does not by itself establish a malfunction. Inspect the last-night removal figure and the remaining impurities. A small positive amount can be normal progress near the end of treatment.

The machine also treats different contaminants at different rates and stops at limits determined by its setup. Remaining heavy metals or chemical contamination should be read as part of the current composition, rather than proof that the purifier only ever removes the impurity that disappeared first.

Avoid calculating a finishing date by extending the first night's progress in a straight line. A batch that improved rapidly from a dirty starting state can need longer for the last fraction. Use the ongoing readings to decide when the desired grade has actually been reached.

Configure for Pure Water deliberately

Pure Water requires at least 99.9% purity. Ordinary operation without sufficient Quality stops in High-Quality Water territory, so waiting alone is not a reliable route to the premium grade.

A combined Quality bonus of at least 100 allows the purifier to reach Pure Water. After installing modules, check the displayed Max Purity rather than relying solely on a remembered threshold. The tooltip provides the endpoint for the configuration you actually have.

Once the ceiling is high enough, keep the container connected and allow treatment to continue. Check the actual batch with a Water Testing Strip or AquaScan before calling it Pure Water. A high machine ceiling is permission to reach a grade, not confirmation that the current container already has it.

Do not use a label change as the finishing step. The machine and testing tool determine the contents; the label should follow that result. Calling a nearly finished batch Pure Water does not move its measured composition across the boundary.

Treat container size as a capacity choice

The purifier works on a connected container, so the container affects how much product you are processing at once. A larger volume can be useful for a water business, but it also changes the amount of contamination present in that batch.

The machine's size-related removal behavior does not justify assuming the largest container always finishes fastest. Compare the quantity you need with the treatment time and your available power. A large batch that is not ready for the customer is not automatically better than a smaller ready batch.

Keep test readings tied to the right vessel. If you move or mix liquid, test the new combined contents. The original container's reading no longer describes the new mixture merely because the same bottle is being used.

A clear working routine is to keep one connected processing batch and separate finished stock. That prevents you from confusing water still working toward the ceiling with water you already tested for sale.

Stop at the grade you actually need

Pure Water is useful for demanding buyers, but not every customer wants or can use it. Basewater and High-Quality Water remain relevant products. Decide whether additional nights improve the stock you need rather than treating the maximum as the default goal.

Other production systems can also require particular water properties. Wine production, for example, uses suitable water with minerals, so maximum purification should not be applied automatically to every container in the shop.

When the current water already satisfies its intended use, remove and identify that finished batch. That frees the purifier for another container and makes your available stock easier to assess.

A finished container left at the machine's reached limit does not keep consuming power on a cycle that removes no contamination. Still, leaving it connected occupies the processing position. The next batch needs that slot even if the completed one is not adding an energy expense.

Energy Cell

Power is a separate requirement from the machine purity ceiling.

Diagnose a stalled batch in order

First confirm that the correct water container is in the slot. Then check available power and whether a working cycle occurred. Next compare current purity with Max Purity. Finally inspect last night's removal and the remaining contamination.

If the batch is below the ceiling and still improving, the issue is time or Performance. If it has reached a ceiling below the desired grade, improve Quality. If it never processed, correct the setup before spending on upgrades that do not address the missed cycle.

After any change, verify the next result with the same sequence. That gives each purchase or extra night a concrete purpose and keeps a correctly operating machine from being mistaken for a broken one simply because it has reached the limit of its current setup.
